We just toasted the new year with sparkling wine and already we are thinking about Christmas presents again. But joking aside – the first month has really flown by. And that was actually a winter month, even if nobody noticed it.
And Corona still keeps our everyday life under control. The virus does not seem to know that we have a new year and that everything will change with it. Hopefully it will.
This is definitely necessary, because in the second half of 2021, at least the market for commercial housing has lost its rhythm due to Corona. There was simply too much material crunch and material price explosions, too much lockdown and incidence and quarantine values that were too high.
On the private side, the topic of inflation, in addition to Corona, is depressing the mood and the buying mood. So 2022 started as bumpy as 2021 ended. But clearly – recovery is in sight. And not only with Corona. But that is of course the prerequisite for many other things and above all for a normalization of the markets.
With the re-establishment of the Federal Building Ministry and the goal of building 400,000 apartments in Germany a year, everything is on the right political track.
If you trust the market researchers, 2021 will be the year of residential construction again anyway. We have been putting up with a real jam in Germany for years, i.e. the demand for apartments in the metropolises is still huge.
And the topic of receiving parcels is causing some optimism. Contactless handover of parcels, pick-up points for retail customers and non-discriminatory handover are just a few of the absolutely exciting keywords that we serve well with our items such as KNOBOX and Pakno.
