MAILBOX COMPANY AND PROUD OF IT
Mailbox company and proud of it
Since Panama Papers, mailbox companies have been on everyone’s lips. Now the managing director of Germany’s oldest mailbox company speaks up and frankly declares that he is even proud of this title. What’s behind all the audacity?
Every mailbox company has a name. Many choose a fancy name for their company, very brave ones (you could of course also call them uninspired) simply use their own company name. The mailbox company Max Knobloch Nachf. GmbH got its name in a similar way, which describes itself as the oldest, still existing mailbox company in Germany. The company has existed since 1869 and is now more in demand than ever in the Panama Paper scandal. Many owners of mailbox companies in Panama want to know the secret of their long existence. The boss of the oldest mailbox company Thomas Kolbe is happy to give tips: “The magic words here are flexibility and speed. Only those who can adapt flexibly and quickly to the market situation will always be one step ahead – if you know what I mean. ”
According to the latest revelations, Sigmar Gabriel is now even calling for banning mailbox companies. When asked whether he is now getting to grips with fear, Thomas Kolbe replies: “We are already talking to politicians about an exception. We can do that quite well in Germany. Because once a mailbox company, always a mailbox company. We have been doing this since 1869 and are becoming more and more successful. And it should stay that way. And I would like to continue to be the head of a mailbox company and work nowhere else. After all, we still have a lot of plans. ”When asked what that was, Thomas Kolbe answered dryly:“ Well, make more mailboxes. What did you think? ”
