DF1060 for embedding in concrete
A concrete foundation with the following characteristics is required to ensure safe and correct installation.
Dimensions:
Depth: approx. 700 to 800 mm
Width x length: 560 mm x 530 mm (external dimensions of the stand plus a minimum of 250 mm all round)
Construction:
Compact the base thoroughly and add approx. 100 mm of gravel. Pour in a layer of standard-strength concrete (e.g. cement screed) and compact it. Insert the enclosed tie rod (7) into the hole in the stand. Position the stand with a depth of 300 mm, align it and support it. Fill the remainder of the foundation with concrete, compact it and smooth the surface. Allow the foundation to set before starting assembly.
DF1060 for screw mounting
A concrete foundation with the following characteristics is required to ensure safe and correct installation.
Dimensions:
Depth: approx. 700 to 800 mm
Width x length: 360 mm x 340 mm (external dimensions of the base plate plus a minimum of 100 mm all round)
Installation:
Compact the base thoroughly and lay approx. 100 mm of gravel. Pour concrete of standard strength class (e.g. cement screed), compact it and smooth the surface. Position the stand to mark the fixing points on the foundation. Allow the foundation to set, then secure the base with anchor bolts (not included).
If a foundation is already in place:
Check the load-bearing capacity and use heavy-duty wall plugs, e.g. the Fischer SLM system, Fischer MR wall screws or equivalent alternatives. When measuring the foundation, ensure the required edge distances for the wall plugs are observed.
Without a foundation:
The stand may also be secured without a foundation using screw-in anchors or screw sleeves. It is essential that you consult your local specialist retailer in advance regarding this.
Attaching the cross braces
Screw the cross braces to the stand using the Allen key (6). Use one countersunk screw (1) for each drill hole.
Mounting the mailbox
Screw the maiolbox to the cross braces using the Allen key (6) and a spanner. For each hole, use one pan-head screw (2), two washers (3), one sealing washer (4) and one cap nut (5).
