GREAT RETAIL FEATURE

Pick-up and delivery station of Knobloch increases the service factor

Working people often and happily order in online shops because there is simply no time for extended shopping tours. Many do this with a guilty conscience, since they would have preferred to buy their new book from the dealer around the corner.

“I am looking for everything I am looking for” with this slogan the German SME offensive “Buy Local” advertises and wants to improve the climate for German retailers.

In cooperation with the letterbox manufacturer Knobloch, a pilot project was created with the bookstore “Ravensbuch” in Ravensburg: The Buy Local Box. This acts as a pick-up and delivery station and thus enables the shop owner to extend his shop time to 24 hours. “The Buy Local Box is very well received. We have integrated this as a further delivery option in our web shop and also offer this service actively by phone or in the shop in customer discussions, ”says Michael Riethmüller, owner of“ Ravensbuch ”. The dealer sends a 4-digit PIN via SMS. With this, the customer opens the relevant compartment and can therefore easily pick up or return books after the store closes. The Buy Local Box does not require a power connection and can either be mounted on a wall or concreted in using a base. The box can be configured with different box sizes as required. In addition, each box is equipped with a keyboard lock and a labeling panel.
